Liyah Simbulan

Liyah Simbulan is a Toronto-based dance artist, choreographer, and educator. She began her dance journey at the age of six at Sean Boutilier Academy of Dance, where she trained for twelve years, competing full time for ten of those years.

 

Liyah is intensively trained in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary & modern. She also attended Etobicoke School of the Arts for their dance program. This program gave her the opportunity to develop her love for choreography and teaching, and pushed Liyah into various leadership roles. Some of these roles include; Head of contemporary dance for multiple productions and other choreographic opportunities.

 

Liyah's passion for dance has carried her into post secondary where she studied in the Performance Dance Program at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). Her passion for dance has also led her to choreograph for Canada’s Walk of Fame 2023 as well as joining Unapologetic Dance Company in 2023.
